§ 48-217. FPE compliance schedule.

As of the effective date of the ordinance from which this division is derived, all existing food preparation establishments must become compliant with this division within thirty (30) days or be subject to enforcement.

(1)

New construction. New FPEs must become compliant with this division as a condition of their certificate of occupancy. No new FPEs will be allowed to open their business through issuance of a CO by the Permit Department, until fully compliant. Failure to comply may also result in denial of food license.

(2)

Changes in ownership. Compliance with this division must be achieved within thirty (30) days of change of ownership.

(3)

Remodeling. FPEs that are remodeling must become compliant with this division as a condition of their certificate of occupancy. FPEs that are remodeling will not be allowed to open their business through issuance of a CO by the Permit Department until fully compliant.
