§ 48-165. Statement of purpose.

In order to ensure the proper removal and disposal of sewage and wastewaters in the public sewer system of the City; to ensure the proper operation and maintenance and the protection and preservation of the sewage works of the City; and to provide for the keeping of adequate records and for the reasonable and proper supervision of use and operation of such sewage works, this article is enacted regulating the use of and the substance which may be discharged, directly or indirectly, into the public sewers and sewage works of the City and regulating and providing for the construction and maintenance of inspection, protective and treatment devices and facilities.
