§ 16-183. Application.

  • (a)

    Applications for a child care center or group day care home shall be made to the Director of Health upon forms provided by the Director and shall contain the information required by this article and the state statutes and regulations.

    (b)

    Upon receipt of an application for a certificate of inspection, the Director of Health shall issue such certificate of inspection if, upon inspection and investigation, the Director finds that the applicant, the facilities and the program meet the health, educational and social needs of children likely to attend the child care center or group day care home and it complies with the state licensing requirements established in C.G.S. §§ 19a-77 to 19a-80 and C.G.S. §§ 91a-82 to 19a-87a, inclusive. Each certificate of inspection will be for a term of one year, renewable each year on April 1. It may be suspended or revoked after notice and hearing as provided in sections 16-187 through 16-189.
