§ 46-153. Depositing slugs or additional coins, tampering with meters.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful to deposit or cause to be deposited in any parking meter any slug, device or substitute for a proper coin of the United States.

    (b)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to deposit or cause to be deposited in any parking meter additional proper coins of the United States for the purpose of increasing or extending the legal parking time which has been established by the Traffic Authority for the parking meter space adjacent to which said parking meter is placed.

    (c)

    It shall be unlawful for any person not so authorized to deface, damage, tamper with, open or willfully break, destroy or impair the usefulness of any parking meter installed under the provisions of this division or to aid or abet in doing the same.
