§ 46-59. Scope.

(a)

Nothing contained herein shall be construed as affecting the right of the operator or owner of a disabled motor vehicle to call a wrecker of his own choice and to tow the disabled vehicle to a place he designates.

(b)

Nothing contained herein shall be construed as affecting the right of any commercial carrier to use its own specially equipped tow vehicles.

(c)

Notwithstanding the provisions of subsections (a) and (b) of this section, members of the Danbury Police Department may determine that for reasons of public safety the immediate use of a rotation-tower is required.
