Division 2. PERMIT |
§ 42-111. Operations for which permit required.
The following types of operations within the limits of City highways and rights-of-way shall require a written application for a permit issued by the Public Works Department, before any work may be performed:
(1)
The construction, repair, installation and maintenance of sewers, drains, water mains, gas mains, telephone and electrical conduits, television cables, fire alarms or traffic-control cables, or service connections thereto; driveways, pavement extensions; manholes, inlets, catchbasins; fire hydrants; sidewalks, curbs, steps, retaining walls or fences.
(2)
The temporary storage of equipment or construction materials.
(3)
The erection and maintenance of poles, wires, guys, cables or other overhead structures.
(4)
Any other operations which may cause abnormal wear to, deface or damage existing structures, pavement, curbs or sidewalks.
