§ 42-71. Scope, amendment of article provisions.

(a)

The Director of Public Works has compiled the provisions of this article listing all types of work to be performed in, on, over or under any of the streets or highways in the City by anyone other than the City for which a permit is required by this article and other ordinances of the City or the statutes of the State of Connecticut.

(b)

The City Council shall, from time to time, adopt such regulations or ordinances as it deems fitting, necessary and proper to control the issuance of such permits and the work to be done under such permits. Such enactments may be amended from time to time by the City Council upon recommendation of the Director of Public Works. Said enactments, and the amendments thereto, shall be included in this article and shall be filed with the City Legislative Assistant in accordance with law.
