§ 30-42. Created; members; terms; vacancies.

There shall be a Parks and Recreation Commission consisting of nine (9) members appointed by the Mayor subject to approval by the City Council. Members shall be appointed for three-year terms and until their successors have been appointed and approved. One (1) member of the Danbury Parks and Recreation Commission so appointed shall be chosen from among the members of the Danbury Conservation Commission. All members of the Parks and Recreation Commission shall be electors and residents of the City of Danbury and the athletic Director of the Danbury Public Schools shall sit as an ex officio member thereof. Vacancies occurring otherwise than by expiration of term shall be filled by the Mayor with the approval of the City Council for the unexpired portion of the term.
